Foundations of Inclusion
Language, models of disability, and the legal landscape governing access in fitness and sport.
A one-semester cohort for undergraduate students in kinesiology, exercise science, physical therapy, and adaptive sport. Twelve weeks of coursework, live faculty sessions, and a supervised practicum culminating in AdaptX certification.
Coursework grounded in current research on disability, movement science, and inclusive programming, developed with clinicians and adaptive athletes.
Forty hours of hands-on work at a partner facility or campus program, documented and reviewed by an assigned teaching assistant.
Graduates finish with a portfolio, a capstone program design, and the AdaptX Inclusive Fitness Specialist credential.
Six modules delivered in sequence. Each opens Monday and closes with a graded artifact the following Sunday.
